Job summary

Rush-Henrietta is seeking a Director of Human Resources to provide leadership over HR services for the non‑certified workforce and to guide administrators on personnel matters, labor relations, benefits, and policy compliance.

The role collaborates with the Director of Recruitment and Retention to optimize staffing and the employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle. Strong supervisory and strategic planning skills are required.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have experience in HR administration, employee and labor relations, and personnel management.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and relationship‑building skills are essential.
• Experience with Civil Service requirements and collective bargaining agreements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for HR services for the district's non-certified workforce.
• Advise administrators on employee relations, performance concerns, attendance, and policies.
• Administer and interpret non-certified collective bargaining agreements and support bargaining processes.
• Collaborate with bargaining unit reps to address labor relations matters.
• Coordinate with the Civil Service Commission on classifications, appointments, and examinations.
• Oversee development and implementation of personnel policies and practices for non-certified staff.
• Administer benefits and support professional development and staff training.
• Support staffing, onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives with Recruitment and Retention.
• Assist with employee evaluations, investigations, discipline, and other personnel matters.
• Maintain confidential personnel records and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
