Genuine Foods is seeking a Food Service Worker to join our team at KESD Lyndon Town School in Lyndonville, VT. This full-time role focuses on serving meals and assisting with food preparation in line with recipe standards and USDA School Lunch guidelines, while delivering top-notch customer service to students, teachers, and parents.

You’ll work with a supportive team, have opportunities to learn culinary skills, and contribute to a positive dining experience in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all served food meets Genuine Foods quality and safety standards.
• Serve food to students and staff with a positive attitude.

• Keep kitchen and serving areas clean and sanitized.
• Stock and organize kitchen and serving areas for efficient service.
• Report issues to Site Lead or Manager promptly.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Food Service Worker position will be at an elementary, middle, or high school site. The Food Service Worker performs a variety of job responsibilities including serving food and helping finish preparing food in accordance with recipe standards and the USDA National School Lunch compliance. This position will engage with students, teachers, and parents with superior customer service, embodying the Genuine way. There are opportunities to learn culinary skills to advance your career.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all food being served is up to Genuine Foods' quality while following food safety standards.
• Serve food to students and staff with a positive, upbeat attitude.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure all food is ready and served on time.
• Keep all areas clean and sanitized.
• Stock and organize all areas of the kitchen/serving area to keep ease of service.
• Alert Site Lead or Manager on duty of any issues promptly.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
