Job summary

Genuine Foods is hiring a Food Service Worker to operate at elementary, middle, or high school sites. You will serve meals, support meal prep, and engage with students, teachers, and parents with excellent customer service.

The role offers opportunities to learn culinary skills, work in a school environment, and contribute to a wholesome, nutritious program for K-12 students.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or customer service in a mid-to-high volume facility or restaurant.
• Must be flexible and team-oriented.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and level-headedness.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn USDA National School Lunch Program compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food served meets Genuine Foods quality standards and food safety guidelines.
• Serve food to students and staff with a positive, upbeat attitude.
• Coordinate with team to ensure food is ready and served on time.
• Keep kitchen and serving areas clean and sanitized.
• Stock and organize kitchen/serving areas for easy service.
• Report issues to Site Lead or Manager promptly.

ABOUT THIS POSITIONThe Food Service Worker position will be at an elementary, middle, or high school site. The Food Service Worker performs a variety of job responsibilities including serving food and helping finish preparing food in accordance with recipe standards and the USDA National School Lunch compliance. This position will engage with students, teachers, and parents with superior customer service, embodying the Genuine way.
