Genuine Foods is seeking a Food Service Worker to support meal service across K-12 school sites in Vermont. You will help prepare and serve wholesome meals, uphold safety standards, and provide friendly service to students, teachers, and families.

Qualifications

  • Experience in food service or customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team in a high-volume setting.
  • Willingness to learn USDA National School Lunch Program compliance.
  • Punctual and reliable with good attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve food to students and staff with a positive attitude.
  • Ensure food safety standards are followed.
  • Coordinate with team to prepare and serve meals on time.
  • Keep kitchen and serving areas clean and organized.
  • Report issues to Site Lead or Manager on duty.

ABOUT THIS POSITIONThe Food Service Worker position will be at an elementary, middle, or high school site. The Food Service Worker performs a variety of job responsibilities including serving food and helping finish preparing food in accordance with recipe standards and the USDA National School Lunch compliance. This position will engage with students, teachers, and parents with superior customer service, embodying the Genuine way.
