Southwest Foodservice Excellence, LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily K-12 foodservice operations in New Braunfels, TX. You will manage staff, drive cost control and food safety, and report to the General Manager to deliver exceptional student dining experiences.

The role requires 3+ years in foodservice, a HS diploma (degree preferred), and strong skills in scheduling, inventory, and Microsoft Office. It offers Monday–Friday day shifts with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of foodservice or hospitality experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in related field preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, labor management (MPLH), inventory, and cost control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and POS or reporting systems.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements including background check, fingerprinting, and driving record if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure consistent food quality, portioning, presentation, and service standards.
• Support team leadership, including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
• Drive financial performance by managing labor, food/supplies costs, and cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with company, district, and regulatory food-safety and workplace standards.
• Collaborate with General Manager and district stakeholders to exceed client expectations and deliver excellent service.
