Job summary

Pearson seeks a Specialist, Content Developer to help create K-12 assessments for state and district clients. You will contribute as a content and assessment expert, ensuring standards-based items and engaging passages across grade levels.

You will leverage AI tools to enhance content while maintaining accessibility and quality, working with psychometricians and Pearson groups to align with client needs. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, content-specific area, or equivalent experience.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field of content-specific area preferred.
• Professional knowledge of content-specific area and educational trends required.
• Experience or familiarity with prompting, refining, and evaluating AI-generated content for education purposes.
• Skill in basic software tools and technology and the confidence to work with unfamiliar programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items, including MCQs, TE items, and performance tasks across grade levels.
• Help develop item, passage, and test specifications, blueprints, and other documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support development and ensure accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with teammates to integrate AI-generated assets into assessment workflows.
