Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer to join the English Language Arts Content Development team. You will serve as a content and assessment expert developing K-12 assessments for state and district clients across the United States.

The role emphasizes AI-supported content creation, collaboration, and high-quality educational materials. You will help select and train writers, participate in customer meetings, and stay current with AI technologies shaping assessment content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher preferred.
• Professional knowledge of content area and educational trends.
• Experience with large-scale educational measurement preferred.
• Excellent AI-supported content development skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Create item, passage, and test specifications, blueprints, and ancillary docs.
• Use AI tools to support content development meeting quality and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate to integrate AI assets in assessment workflows.
• Lead writers and educators for item development based on standards.
