Job summary

Pearson seeks a Specialist, Content Developer to join the English Language Arts Content Development team. You will act as a content and assessment expert to develop K-12 assessments for U.S.

state and district clients, collaborating with educators, departments, and partners to produce accessible Learning outcomes. The role emphasizes AI-supported content creation, item development, and cross-team collaboration while leveraging emerging technologies in education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher preferred.
• Knowledge of content development and educational trends.
• Experience with AI-assisted content creation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review test items across multiple grade levels and item types.
• Create item development plans, test blueprints, and related documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and ensure accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with team to integrate AI-generated assets into assessment workflows.
• Select and train item writers based on standards and best practices.
• Support customer meetings with content assessment expertise.
• Contribute to test construction and review of test forms.
• Engage with customers in planning and status reviews.
