Job summary

STV Incorporated in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the planning, design, and coordination of K-12 capital improvement projects from concept through construction handoff. You will oversee architects, engineers, and consultants, ensuring alignment with District standards, budget, schedule, and DSA requirements.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years managing facilities design or capital programs, with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• 15+ years of professional experience in facilities design or capital programs.
• At least 5 years in planning, design, and construction of K-12 facilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams; knowledge of California Building Code, DSA, ADA.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and coordination of multiple K-12 projects from concept through construction handoff.
• Plan and direct design activities for school upgrade, modernization, and repairs.
• Monitor progress, manage design scope/budgets, and resolve schedule risks.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders; liaison with DSA.
• Oversight of design quality, compliance with district standards and codes.
