Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Construction Program Manager in Los Angeles to lead K-12 program management for public sector clients. The role emphasizes strong leadership, communications, and multi-disciplinary coordination across development and construction activities.

The candidate should have 10+ years of PM experience on public sector projects, K-12 modernization, capital maintenance, and experience managing design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases, with a proven client

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as a PM on public sector projects of varying scope
• K-12 experience with modernizations, expansions, capital maintenance and green field construction
• Experience managing planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout phases
• Experience building and maintaining client satisfaction in their team/services
• Experience working with/managing expectations of executive leadership within client organizations
• Experience with preparing report and presenting to oversight/governance groups
• Experience managing public relations/community engagement efforts
• Experience developing and managing high performance teams

Responsibilities

• Conduct background research, data collection and benchmarking
• Establish effective processes and systems to be utilized throughout the project
• Produce project plans
• Monitor and document project progress and other performance indicators
• Track and document changes
• Prepare formal project progress and other reports
• Liaise with the client, contractors and designers
• Attend meetings and draft minutes
• Ensure tasks are completed to required accuracy and quality standards
• Ensure tasks delivered efficiently and on time
• Support cross-functional team in a positive manner
• Contribute to overall project success
• Communicate key information and data clearly and retain it appropriately
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, where applicable
