Job summary

Hampton Intermediate School within Hampton County School District in Hampton, SC is seeking a Career Development Facilitator to support counselors, teachers, and students in coordinating effective college and career readiness activities. Reports to the principal and collaborates across the district.

Responsibilities include leading professional development for staff, guiding students in career exploration, organizing career fairs, and developing work-based learning programs with local partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• GCDF or CDF certification required or obtainable within first year of employment.
• Work experience in teaching, counseling, or supervision preferred within past five years.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in promoting quality career development for K-12 students.
• Coordinate and present professional development workshops for teachers and counselors.
• Assist counselors and students in accessing career information and resources.
• Organize career events, fairs, and work-based learning activities.
• Develop internships, shadowing, and partnerships with industry; support IGP processes.
