Job summary

Hampton County School District 2 is seeking a Career Development Facilitator at Hampton Intermediate School in Hampton, SC. The role supports counselors, teachers and students to ensure effective career awareness transitions for K-12 learners to be college and career ready.

Under general supervision, you will coordinate workshops, assist with career information access, organize career events and develop work-based learning programs in partnership with local employers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
• GCDF or CDF certification or ability to obtain within first year.
• Preferred experience in education or counseling.

Responsibilities

• Assist schools in promoting quality career development for K-12 students.
• Coordinate and present professional development workshops in career development for staff.
• Assist counselors and students in identifying and accessing career information and resources.
• Provide information on district career and technology education programs to educators, parents and students.
• Support students exploring career clusters and selecting an area of academic focus.
• Organize career events, classes, and programming for district-wide audiences.
• Develop work-based learning programs including internships and partnerships with business.
