Job summary

Clayton County Public Schools seeks a GNETS Behavior Specialist to coordinate behavior intervention services for students within GNETS. You will collaborate with staff and stakeholders to implement behavior modification strategies and collect data, reporting to the Director.

Responsibilities include designing and monitoring behavioral programs, contributing to IEP goals, developing FBA and BIP, and providing developmental therapy support in the Autism Program, with opportunities to travel to

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an educational-related field is required.
• Georgia Professional Certification (T-5) is required.
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience in a K-12 special education setting is required.
• Experience developing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and implementing BIP is required.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and monitors behavioral management programs for students.
• Participates in development of individual educational programs and evaluates student progress.
• Develops and conducts in-service activities on behavior modification techniques.
• Assists with updating reports and communicating progress to parents and agencies.
• Liaises with state and metro agencies to promote effective behavior intervention strategies.
