Qualifications

• Must hold valid ASL interpreter certification/licensure required by Washington State.
• RID Certification preferred.
• EIPA score may be required depending on assignment.
• Experience supporting K-12 students strongly preferred.
• Ability to provide accurate real-time interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language.
• Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills required.
• Background check and school clearance required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-classroom ASL interpretation for students, staff, and school activities.
• Facilitate effective communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and others.
• Support student learning and participation in educational activities.
• Attend meetings, school events, and related assignments as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow district policies and procedures.
