Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking an American Sign Language Interpreter to provide interpreting and communication access for deaf and hard of hearing students in K-12 settings. You will interpret in classrooms and small groups, support tutoring and instruction, and help students access the full curriculum alongside hearing peers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or CHSPE certificate.
• RID or equivalent certification (e.g., Cued Speech TEC, ACCI Level 4+, ESSES Level 4+, EIPA Level 4+).
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of core subject areas and child development.

Responsibilities

• Interpret in classrooms and small-group settings, matching language to the student’s level.
• Prepare with teachers to review upcoming content and vocabulary.
• Participate in IEP team discussions when appropriate.
• Support individual and small-group instructional activities and daily assignments.
• Maintain records and protect confidentiality.
