Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks a qualified teacher to deliver rigorous instruction aligned with the district curriculum and standards. You will plan lessons, monitor progress, and provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities include administering assessments, maintaining records, and engaging families to support student learning. A Bachelor's degree and Texas teaching certificate are required, with bilingual ability considered an asset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas Teacher certificate at the appropriate level for assignment OR Accepted in an approved Alternative Certificate Program (ACP) and have passed the required prerequisite examinations.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency is beneficial in some settings.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the District curriculum utilizing well-designed lesson plans and rigorous instruction aligned with standards-based objectives.
  • Monitor student progress and differentiate instruction to address individual needs.
  • Develop units and opportunities for enrichment, differentiation and project-based learning.
  • Assess and document student mastery and progress using multiple assessment tools and data.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and state/local assessment preparation.
