Job summary

Waco ISD in Waco, Texas seeks a dedicated Art Teacher to provide engaging instruction in the core academic subject area. The primary purpose is to empower students to grow intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially through a Well-structured art program.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject and level, and demonstrate competency in the subject area. Experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the assigned subject area and ability to teach it effectively.
• Strong classroom management and instructional planning.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Plan lessons accommodating diverse learning styles.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and policies.
• Use varied instructional strategies and materials to meet student needs.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with staff and supervise aides/volunteers.
