Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 credit hours completed.
• Basic instructional practices and classroom management knowledge.
• Ability to support diverse learners, including students with special needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and teamwork.
• Follow instructional directions under supervision of a licensed teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering standards-aligned instruction.
• Provide small-group and individual instructional support.
• Implement differentiation, scaffolding, and targeted interventions.
• Support lesson plans, activities, assessments, and routines.
• Use performance data to give timely feedback and monitor progress.
• Maintain high expectations for student engagement and achievement.
• Actively supervise students during instructional and noninstructional times.
• Collaborate with staff and families to promote student success.
• Engage in professional development and apply coaching feedback.
