Job summary

Braintree High School in Braintree, MA, seeks a Head Athletic Coach for the Junior Varsity Swim Team. This is a one-year, part-time position.

You will instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and training to build individual and team success while upholding discipline and sportsmanship. Work with the Athletic Director on planning practices and contests, oversee equipment and budget development, monitor academic progress, and ensure safety and compliance with school and MIAA

Qualifications

• Successful previous experience as a player or coach, preferably in the assigned sport.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects and procedures including MIAA rules.
• Polite and friendly manner with students, parents, administrators and community.
• Availability to meet practice and contest schedule as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule regular practice and interscholastic contests with the Athletic Director.
• Establish sport philosophy, skills, and technique training for student-athletes.
• Supervise players to ensure well-being and safety during activities.
• Maintain documentation and records for compliance and registration forms.
• Ensure proper use of facilities, equipment, and uniforms.
