Job summary

Cheerleading Coach Position (Grades 4-6)

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Cheerleading Coach to lead our 4th-6th grade cheer team. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with younger students, helping them build foundational cheerleading skills in a fun and competitive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop age-appropriate practice plans focused on cheer basics, including cheers, chants, stunts, and formations.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere encouraging learning, growth, and sportsmanship.
  • Motivate young athletes while ensuring they have fun and develop confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff about team schedules, expectations, and performance.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices and events.

Qualifications:

  • Experience coaching or participating in cheerleading, especially at the youth level.
  • A passion for working with elementary-aged children and fostering their love of cheerleading.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a satisfactory national sex offender registry and criminal history check through fingerprinting as required by the Academy Board of Directors’ policy and State Law.

Schedule:

  • Practices and events will be held after school, with occasional weekend activities as needed.
  • End of October to End of December.
