An established industry player is seeking a passionate Girls Junior Varsity Cheer Coach to lead and inspire student-athletes. This seasonal position focuses on the development and continuous improvement of the cheer team, requiring strong coaching skills and experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cheerleading, gymnastics, and strength conditioning, along with excellent communication abilities. The Girls Junior Varsity Cheer Coach is responsible for maintaining a focus on the team’s development and continuous improvement throughout the season, by directing student athletes at practice, during transportation, at other schools or other locations. The cheer coach is a primary role model of coaching for our staff, parents, community and students and promotes and projects leadership qualities for all student-athletes.
Reports to DeWitt Public Schools Head Program Coach and the High School Athletic Director
· Knowledge of coaching cheer
· Cheer experience required
· Knowledge of gymnastics
· Must be at least 18 years of age and a High School graduate
· Three (3) or more years of varsity coaching experience preferred
· Knowledge of strength and conditioning
· Quality communication skills
· Basic knowledge of first aid
Compensation to be paid per DEA Contract – Schedule B
Seasonal assignment
