Potomac Falls High School in Sterling, VA seeks a JV Baseball Head Coach for the spring season (February–May). Lead the varsity program, supervise assistants, and collaborate with the athletic director to maintain high academic standards and a strong, sportsmanlike team culture.

The role requires coaching experience at high school or college level, CPR/First Aid certification, and a preference for a Virginia teaching license or classified employee status within Loudoun County Public Schools.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or in progress.
• Preference for a teacher or classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Virginia teaching license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate performance of assistant coaches.
• Work with athletic director to ensure proper insurance coverage for all athletes.
• Collaborate with head coaches to operate a well-balanced athletic program.
• Foster values of athletics, sportsmanship, and school pride among players and spectators.
• Direct training, conditioning, and performance of varsity team and supervise assistants.
• Be a positive influence on athletes and staff behavior.
• Be present at all varsity contests and at as many JV/frosh contests as possible.
• Advise on schedules, equipment, and facilities condition.
