Job summary

Potomac Falls High School in Sterling, VA is seeking a Boys Lacrosse Head Coach for the spring season (February–May). This part-time position includes leading the varsity program, planning practices, and coordinating with the athletic director and principal.

Responsibilities include maintaining high academic standards for student-athletes, hiring and evaluating assistant coaches, supervising staff at contests, ensuring insurance coverage and equipment needs, and promoting sportsmanship and

Qualifications

Coaching experience at high school or college level.
Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrolled in course.
Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee.

Responsibilities

To assist in maintaining high academic standards for all student athletes.
To assist the athletic director and principal in hiring and/or retention of assistant coaches.
To direct, supervise, and evaluate regularly the performance of all assistant coaches.
To work cooperatively with the athletic director to assure proper insurance coverage for all athletes.
To work with other head athletic coaches to operate a balanced athletic program.
To foster values of athletics, sportsmanship, pride in self, team, school, and community.
