Job summary

Dallas County seeks a Training Supervisor to ensure efficient facility operation by developing and evaluating programs and maintaining staffing competency in line with policies, regulations, and licensing.

The role includes supervising 21-35 staff and managing shifts in the absence of the manager, plus duties in training, reporting, inspections, and back-up for various youth-related tasks in a 24-hour setting.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Two (2) years of work-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Trains, motivates, evaluates, and supervises staff; assigns work and tracks attendance.
• Develops, coordinates, and evaluates training for staff in educational, therapeutic, or recreational programs.
• Supervises in absence of manager and manages shifts while maintaining licensing standards.
• Makes decisions during emergencies; conducts crisis sessions and informs supervisor as warranted.
• Prepares reports and documentation per standards, policies, and procedures.
• Conducts inspections, drills, and searches as required.
• Serves as back-up for medications, transportation, intake assessments or discharges, and discipline.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
