Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required or approved equivalent.
• 3+ years of full-time work experience as Probation Corrections Officer (PCO) or equivalent.
• Multiple education options listed; applicants must submit transcripts or degree evidence if applicable.
• Must possess diverse experience in juvenile detention, treatment programs, and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise correctional staff in daily operations of a juvenile detention and/or treatment facility.
• Assign, review, and evaluate the work of Probation Corrections Officers for an assigned unit.
• Direct and supervise counseling and activity programs; conduct regular rounds for safety and security.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher

Three (3) years full-time work experience as Probation Corrections Officer

Thirty (30) semester units with 15 in behavioral science (Option 2)

Associates degree with 60 semester units plus 15 in related fields (Option 3)

High School diploma, GED, or CHSPE (Option 4)
