Job summary

San Bernardino County's Probation Department seeks Probation Corrections Officers to counsel, supervise, and care for pre- and post-adjudicated youth in detention centers and treatment facilities.

Positions include full-time and part-time roving assignments with a 24/7 schedule. Candidates must have at least one year of relevant probation experience and meet the department's training and background requirements. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Active Juvenile Probation Corrections Officer or Deputy Probation Officer with at least 1 year of experience.
• Has passed probationary status and completed BSCC/STC Probation Corrections Officer Core course and PC 832.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Counsel, guide, supervise, care for pre- and post-adjudicated youth in detention centers and treatment facilities.
• Work in a 24/7 roving assignment across detention and treatment facilities.
• Assist with security and restraints as required within the program.
