Job summary

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience as a Juvenile Correctional Officer 3 or equivalent.
• Must complete Leadership Core Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced within six months.
• Must possess and maintain Georgia POST certification within six months.
• Must have a valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Custody, security, and care of youth per DJJ policies.
• Provide direct support and structure for detained youth.
• Complete administrative paperwork and maintain records.
• Inspect and maintain security equipment to ensure safety.
• Oversee and guide subordinate staff and shift activities.
