Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Department of Juvenile Justice seeks a Deputy Juvenile Facility Manager to oversee daily facility operations under the Juvenile Facility Manager or Administrative Coordinator, ensuring safety and program integrity.

This executive branch, full-time position requires mature leadership, reliable supervision of staff, and coordination of treatment and business duties while enforcing policies and ACA accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of experience in public or business administration.
• Supervisory experience in relevant settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a DJJ facility under direction of the Juvenile Facility Manager or Administrative Coordinator.
• Provide daily supervision to assigned staff and make personnel recommendations as needed.
• Administer facility operations in the absence of leadership and interpret/enforce policies.
• Coordinate ACA accreditation and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Consult with attorneys, parents, departmental personnel and other stakeholders regarding DJJ services.
• May be required to restrain out-of-control juveniles.
