Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assists in daily operations of a DJJ facility under direction of the Juvenile Facility Manager or Administrative Coordinator.
• Provides daily supervision to assigned staff.
• Recommends personnel actions including disciplinary matters.
• Administers all aspects of the facility in the absence of the Juvenile Facility Manager or Administrative Coordinator.
• Interprets and enforces policies and procedures.
• Coordinates ACA accreditation process.
• Consults with attorneys, parents, departmental personnel and other interested parties.
• May be required to restrain out-of-control juveniles.
