Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a college or university.

• Experience supervising in youth or residential settings can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Assists in daily operations of a DJJ facility under direction of the Juvenile Facility Manager or Administrative Coordinator.
• Assists in daily program operations and supervises assigned staff.
• Recommends personnel actions including disciplinary actions.
• Administers all aspects of the facility in the absence of the Juvenile Facility Manager.
• Interprets and enforces policies and procedures.
• Coordinates ACA accreditation process.
• Consults with attorneys, parents, department personnel regarding services for juveniles in DJJ care.
• May be required to restrain out-of-control juveniles.
