Job summary
The State of Oklahoma seeks a Juvenile Justice Specialist I/II to deliver clinical social work and case management for youth in custody, on probation, or under supervision. You will conduct intake interviews, develop treatment plans, provide counseling, arrange health screenings, and coordinate services with providers and agencies.
Responsibilities include preparing court reports, may testify as an expert witness, and coordinating with districts, facilities, and schools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or related field required for Level I.
- Master's degree in behavioral science or JD or related combinations for Level II.
- No substitution of education for a bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities
- Carry a differentiated caseload in juvenile justice and supervise youths.
- Conduct intake interviews and develop treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling; arrange health screening.
- Prepare court reports and may testify as expert witness; liaise with prosecutors.
- Coordinate with private nonprofit and for-profit service providers.
- Liaise with facilities, agencies and schools; participate in councils.
- Conduct foster care studies and recruit foster parents.
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations and write clinical plans.
