Job summary

New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an organized, detail-oriented individual for the Office of Probation Services, Juvenile Intensive Supervision Program (JISP) in the Northern Regional Office (North Paterson). You will primarily oversee field supervision of juveniles in the community and assist with case management and reporting.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree plus four years’ professional casework experience, with substitutions allowed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of professional experience in casework involving supervising offenders.
• Substitution: associate degree + 2 years, or master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work independently to meet program goals.
• Maintain and update documentation of work using a computerized system and spreadsheets.
• Work cooperatively with JISP staff, Family Court judges, treatment providers, and community agencies.
• Be available to participants, families, school officials, and placement staff for updates on progress.
• Identify educational, vocational, treatment, and employment opportunities for youth.
• Write assessments and progress reports; provide recommendations/testimony when required.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
