Job summary

The Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center is seeking a capable supervisor to oversee Juvenile Supervision Officers during all program operations. Qualifications

• Incumbent must be 21 years of age and have at least a high school diploma or GED plus two years of related experience.
• Certification as a Juvenile Supervision Officer within six months; approved restraint training within 30 days; valid Texas driver’s license; CPR/First Aid within six months.
• Pass drug, psychological, physical, background, and Diana Screen examinations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Juvenile Supervision Officers and ensure adequate staff coverage on shift.
• Direct residents during classes, activities, and crisis situations with calm, professional leadership.
• Maintain accurate documentation for residents and incident reports; supervise searches and safety procedures.
• Organize schedules, staff development, and training; coordinate with case managers and shift supervisors.
• Assist with disciplinary hearings and manage residence safety and order.
