Job summary

Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is hiring experienced Facility Cooks for juvenile residential facilities in the Bronx, NYC. The role requires reliable, professional staffing with institutional or commercial cooking experience and adherence to high food safety standards.

Pay rate is $26.90 per hour with weekly pay. We offer full-time positions with flexible schedules and per diem opportunities. Locations include Bronx & Brooklyn, NY, with shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid NYC Food Protection Certificate is required.
• 1–2 years of commercial, institutional, or facility cooking experience.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays when needed.
• Experience in residential, juvenile, shelter, healthcare, or community-based facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to approved recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule, including breakfasts and packed lunches.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in kitchen and dining areas.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and properly.
• Supervise and assist kitchen helpers and support staff as needed.
• Monitor food inventory and complete production logs/documentation.
• Follow all NYC food safety and health regulations.
• Support meal service operations within the facility environment.
