Job summary

The Juvenile Diversion Program Coordinator at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office oversees and coordinates services provided by community-based providers within the Juvenile Diversion Program network.

This role monitors case management, Youth Aid Panel (YAP) services, restorative justice programming, and other diversion services, ensuring timely and effective services aligned with contracts and youth needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 1 year minimum of case management experience or other relevant experience preferred.
  • Must be able to travel to various locations throughout the city of Philadelphia during non-traditional work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments at the Philadelphia Juvenile Justice Services Center (PJJSC).
  • Assess the needs of youth and families and connect them with community resources.
  • Serve as a liaison between youth, families, organizations, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office to support diversion services.
  • Schedule and participate in corrective planning meetings and case conferences.
  • Maintain timely and complete case documentation across systems and programs.
  • Monitor youth participation and progress and communicate updates to managers and providers.
  • Collaborate with administrators and providers to address barriers to participation.
  • Engage youth and guardians to obtain feedback and identify service improvements.
  • Assist with navigating community-based services to promote successful diversion participation.
  • Support community engagement activities related to the Juvenile Diversion Unit.
