Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DJJ Detention Services Manual and applicable policies.
• Ability to supervise staff and youth.
• Ability to work overtime hours as needed.
• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to agency and facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for youth and staff.
• Perform daily inspections of the detention facility and supervise workers.
• Orient and train staff; manage leave and attendance; prepare evaluations.
• Ensure proper paperwork, reports, and records are completed on time.
• Coordinate daily workload and staffing; monitor data entries in master control.
• Distribute assignments; monitor releases and transfers as required.
• Assist with disciplinary actions and compliance with contracts and policies.
