Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certified in DJJ direct care training or obtain certification within 180 days.
• Subject to background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license is required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, secure environment for detained youth.
• Supervise youth and provide direction through counseling and appropriate levels of PAR.
• Distribute medications in absence of medical staff, per policy.
• Complete required reports and records on incidents and youth movements.
• Assist in transporting youth to medical, court and other facilities as needed.
• Ensure adherence to court orders, agency policies and QA standards.
