Job summary

Coconino County Sheriff's Office (Patrol) seeks a Supervisor to oversee juvenile detention staff and operations, ensuring safety and orderly facility function. You will coordinate shifts, mentor staff, and assist with hiring and training while maintaining compliance with laws and policy.

The role requires leadership, crisis intervention skills, and a focus on youth outcomes within a county detention setting. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; two years working with juveniles in a residential setting OR
• Associate's degree in a related field; three years working with juveniles in a residential setting OR
• Four years working with juveniles in a residential setting; OR
• Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and administer detention staff to maintain safe operations.
• Coordinate and lead staff to provide a positive, caring, and learning environment for detained youth.
• Assist in staff hiring, training, and development; monitor subordinate officers' activities.
• Identify youth needs and promote individualized services to improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and safety procedures; respond to incidents and emergencies.
