Coconino County seeks a dedicated Detention Supervisor to oversee juvenile detention operations, ensuring a safe and constructive environment for youth while coordinating with the Detention Manager and staff.

Responsibilities include leading training at the Juvenile Detention Training Academy, supervising Living Unit staff, and implementing programs to improve outcomes for detained youths. Strong leadership and crisis-intervention skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required; multiple pathways acceptable.
• Associate's degree with relevant experience considered.
• Five years working with juveniles in a residential setting or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and administer detention work of moderate difficulty in Juvenile Detention facility.
• Lead and train Detention Living Unit staff and participate in staff evaluations.
• Develop and implement detention programs in collaboration with Detention Manager and staff.
