Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in detention or security settings a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsabilités

• Maintains safety and security of staff, detainees, visitors and facility; supervises detainee activities and discipline; may restrain detainees and prevent fights or escapes.
• Oversees meals and detainee care; supports nursing staff; schedules appointments and transports for detainees.
• Processes booking and release; searches detainees; handles property; completes fingerprints and photos; notifies relevant parties on release.
• Interviews and classifies new detainees; assesses criminal history and housing needs; monitors electronic surveillance.
• Responds to emergency calls; interviews victims and suspects; collects evidence; prepares reports.
• Testifies at court hearings and prepares required materials.
• Identifies and conducts training and educational programs.
