Dallas County is seeking a Detention Manager for the Juvenile-Letot Residential Facility in Dallas, TX. The role directs a 24-hour operation, supervising forty-three staff while ensuring safe custody of detained youths and enforcing facility policies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, three years of related experience with supervisory responsibility, and CPR/First Aid certification. Candidates must meet TJJD mandated training and background checks as required.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Three years of professional work experience, including one year supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of standard software applications.

Responsabilités

• Oversees a detention facility for an assigned shift and directs staff in providing comprehensive youth supervision.
• Identifies needs and recommends solutions concerning policies and procedures.
• Expedites handling of inter- and intra-departmental inquiries and investigations.
• Schedules staff, assignments and activities for 24-hour operations.
• Compiles and analyzes data to inform organizational patterns and programs.
• Responds to employee grievances and makes recommendations.
• Acts as back-up to staff and handles duties such as medication, transport, intake, and disciplinary actions.
• Provides input on budget needs for staffing and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
