Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or GED and completion of 60 semester units.
• An associate, bachelor, or master’s degree that includes 60 units.
• Valid California Class C driver's license; may require a Class B.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required prior to appointment.
• Age of at least 18 years and eligibility as a peace officer under applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Maintain institutional security and supervise offenders on-site or in the community.
• Counsel and monitor youth or adult offenders; ensure youth and staff safety.
• Perform control room functions and related duties as assigned.
• Transport youth as required and support institutional programs.
• Fulfill other services and support tasks as needed to aid program operations.
