Stanislaus County is seeking an entry‑level Probation Corrections Officer I to supervise detained youth in Juvenile Hall and related facilities. The role includes safety enforcement, supervision during activities, and assisting with transport and documentation.

The position offers shift rotation, weekend/holiday work, overtime, and stepwise advancement to Officer II after one year of satisfactory performance. A California driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License.
• County requires applicant to be at least 21 years old at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise detained youth during recreation, study, and work activities.
• Provide direct care and supervision in Juvenile Hall and related facilities.
• Enforce rules, ensure safety, and maintain sanitation standards.
• Prepare clear incident and progress reports.
