Job summary

Tarrant County College is seeking a dedicated food service worker to plan, prepare and serve meals in three daily service blocks for youth and staff in secure facilities. This role requires adherence to nutrition program guidelines and facility standards.

You will maintain kitchen sanitation, manage inventory and orders, follow security procedures, and obtain a Texas Food Handler certification within six months.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and perform arithmetic calculations involved in quantities and recipe changes.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares and serves meals
• Cleans kitchen and related equipment to maintain sanitary conditions
• Follows all kitchen security procedures
• Documents the use of food supplies
• Takes inventory of food supplies
• Receives verifies incoming food orders
• Dates and stocks all food supplies
• Launders kitchen towels and aprons
• Performs all other related duties as assigned
