Job summary

The Junkluggers of Akron-Canton is seeking a friendly Junk Removal Specialist who will be the company’s face to customers. If you enjoy meeting new people, delivering top-notch service, and prioritizing safety, this role offers variety and the chance to contribute to our eco-friendly mission.

You will load and unload items, operate the truck safely without needing a CDL, and coordinate with donation and recycling partners to dispose of items the green way.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role experience preferred.
• Safety-conscious and able to learn field tech.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide knock-your-socks-off service to customers and team members.
• Educate customers on our services to demonstrate value.
• Operate company vehicle safely (No CDL needed; training provided).
• Safely load, transport, and unload customer’s items.
• Coordinate with donation, recycling, and disposal partners to do it the green way.
• Make route decisions to donate and recycle efficiently and safely.
• Help maintain trucks and equipment with daily inspections and reporting issues.
• Support guerrilla marketing to win repeat business and referrals.
• Partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Treat team members and customers with care and respect by providing knock-your-socks-off service.
• Educate customers on our services to demonstrate our value.
• Operate company vehicle safely. (No CDL needed. Training provided)
• Safely load, transport, and unload customer’s unwanted items.
• Work with community donation, recycling, and disposal partners to dispose of items the green way.
• Become an operational decision maker to run your route efficiently (what can be donated and recycled and where, how to safely and efficiently complete a job).
• Help maintain trucks and equipment with daily inspections and reporting of any observed issues.
• Execute guerilla marketing tactics to win repeat business, referrals, and new customers.
• Partner with leadership to embrace, implement, and promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – this is a customer-facing role
• Safety-first mindset
• Ability to learn and use technology in the field to execute job requirements, quickly and efficiently
• Ability to problem solve on the fly to get the job done
• Obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record
• Supply and reliably use your own mobile phone
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
