Placements24 is seeking imaginative and user-focused individuals to join as Junior UX/UI Design Apprentices in a fully remote position. You will immerse yourself in the world of digital product design, learning to create intuitive and visually appealing experiences for web and mobile applications while working with a talented design team.

This apprenticeship offers hands-on training in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and UI design principles, with mentorship from industry professionals

Qualifications

• Strong interest in UX/UI design and ready to learn
• Portfolios showcasing design projects welcome (academic or personal)
• Familiarity with user-centered design principles and usability best practices
• Excellent visual design skills including layout, typography, and color theory
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting
• High school diploma required; a related degree/certificate is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers in user research and collecting design requirements
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for digital products

• Excellent visual design skills, including layout, typography, and color theory.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills suitable for remote teamwork.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certificate in Design, HCI, or a related field is advantageous.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace for remote work.
• Must be authorized to work in East London , Eastern Cape , ZA for this fully remote role.
