WGI is seeking a Planner with 1+ years of professional planning experience to join our Planning team across our FL and VA offices (West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Arlington). The role involves zoning research, report preparation, and coordination with senior staff on diverse projects for private developers and public clients.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Urban/Regional Planning (or related field).

Formación

• Master's degree preferred in urban planning or related field; combined education/experience acceptable.
• 1+ years in public/private planning roles with progression.
• Ability to read/interpret land development regulations for multiple municipalities.
• Prepare presentation materials (PowerPoint, graphics, maps).
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Must manage multiple tasks and deadlines; strong work ethic.
• Graphic tools (AutoCAD, GIS, Photoshop, InDesign) a plus.
• Travel to other office/client locations may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform zoning code, land development regulation research and apply standards to site proposals with guidance from senior staff.
• Prepare Planning Reports including due diligence, site feasibility and justification statements.
• Assist with development of planning studies and reports for new/updated plans and policies.
• Prepare submittal documents (rezoning, plan amendments, variances, site plans).
• Collaborate with WGI designers to apply codes and address agency comments.
• Collect, interpret, and analyze data; prepare maps, charts, and visual materials.
• Prepare presentations, graphics, and maps for various audiences.
• Propose solutions to planning issues and write/edit technical reports.
• Assist senior staff with project coordination with clients and consultants.
• Serve as liaison to government agencies/public; represent at hearings/meetings.
• Adhere to quality control procedures; work with mid-level planners on deliverables.
