Job summary

You will collaborate with planners, landscape architects, urban designers, and civil engineers while developing maps, reports, and client materials. The role emphasizes public engagement, data collection, and presentations, with opportunities for advancement to project management within a dynamic, design‑led firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or related field from an accredited program
• 0 to 3 years of experience in the planning field
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, and Google Sketchup
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
• Commitment to planning and improving local communities
• Broad knowledge in planning and urban design with interest in policy, land use, site analysis, and zoning
• Interest in becoming an AICP Candidate is preferred
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize background information for reports
• Create maps and drawings; conduct data collection and site visits
• Assist with public outreach and community engagement
• Prepare presentations and client documents
• Collaborate with planners, landscape architects, urban designers, and engineers on multi-disciplinary projects
