Job summary

WGI is seeking a Planner with 1+ years of professional planning experience to join our Planning team in West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, FL or Arlington, VA. The role centers on zoning, land development regulation, and comprehensive plan research for diverse clients including municipalities and developers.

The position emphasizes collaboration with senior staff and cross-functional teams. The candidate will prepare planning reports, feasibility studies, and submittal documents

Qualifications

• 1+ years of public or private planning experience.
• Ability to read and interpret land development regulations.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform zoning code, land development regulation, and comprehensive plan research.
• Prepare Planning Reports and feasibility studies.
• Develop planning studies and policy documents.
• Prepare submittal documents (rezoning, amendments, variances).
• Collaborate with designers to apply codes and address agency comments.
• Collect and visualize data; prepare maps and charts.
• Create presentations and maps for diverse audiences.
• Represent clients at public hearings and meetings.
