Job summary

WGI is seeking a Planner with 1+ year of professional experience to join the Planning team in our Arlington, VA office, with potential assignments in West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, FL, or Arlington, VA.

You will perform zoning and land development research, prepare reports and submittals, develop presentations, and collaborate with staff and clients. A Master’s degree is preferred; travel to other offices may be required as part of project teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional planning experience.
• Master's degree preferred or Bachelor's in Urban and Regional Planning.
• Ability to read and interpret land development regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform zoning code, land development regulation research with guidance.
• Prepare Planning Reports and site feasibility studies.
• Assist with development of planning studies and reports for new/updated plans.
• Prepare submittal documents (rezoning, amendments, variances).
• Develop maps, charts, and graphics for presentations and reports.
• Write and edit technical reports.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants; liaise with government agencies.
